Diego Sanchez slams Donald Cerrone after knockout loss to Alex Morono
Diego Sanchez didn’t shy away from dealing with Donald Cerrone’s recent knockout loss to Alex Morono at UFC Vegas 26.
Sanchez and Cerrone were originally scheduled to headline last weekend’s event in Las Vegas. However, following an altercation between Diego’s coach and mentor Joshua Fabia and UFC officials, “ The Nightmare ” received his walking papers from the promotion.
‘Cowboy’ was then re-booked to fight Alex Morono, but ultimately lost the fight by TKO in the first round.
Before being defeated by “ The Great White ” at last Saturday’s event, Donald Cerrone shared the following thoughts on Diego Sanchez’s exit to the UFC.
“It’s hard to be mad at him now because I don’t think he’s leading the horse,” Cerrone told media day. “I think he’s just blind, and this other Jamoke, his new lover, shows him the way. I don’t know, (I) can’t really be mad at the kid, or the old man, should I say. But in reality, it was her cult leader and her lover who took over her life, and I feel bad for you, Diego.
Now, after Cerrone’s loss to Morono, Diego Sanchez took the opportunity to strike back at his former training partner.
“Maybe the @cowboycerrone training methods should be questioned ??” Sanchez said on his Instagram Story (via LowKickMMA). “Racing, ATV, wakeboarding, snowmobiling, hunting, shooting, selling Jerky, traveling like a rockstar and chewing with Monster Drink…. I hope Donald the bigot will be taken to the hospital to protect his head, he said. ‘he needed healing. “
UFC President Dana White recently confirmed that he will give Donald Cerrone one last fight in the lightweight promotions division.
As for Diego Sanchez, the former TUF 1 winner is still looking for a new home after being cut off by the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
